Heating Water with Waste Oil!

In this video, I design, fabricate, and test a custom waste oil water heater built entirely from scratch. This DIY waste oil burner is powered by Makita 18V batteries and uses a forced-air blower to deliver clean, efficient combustion. The intense flame and heat travel through the flue, where hand-rolled 1/2” soft copper coils transfer heat directly into water for fast, reliable hot water. This off-grid water heater is constructed from stainless steel and custom-formed copper tubing. I 3D printed my own dies to roll the copper coils and silver soldered all copper joints for strength and durability. The result is an impressive, compact water heater that burns waste oil cleanly with no soot or smoke This system has tons of practical applications, including heating water for a redneck hot tub, off-grid living, workshops, garages, and remote locations.
