Explore the Centre Point of Indonesia (CPI): Walk through this modern district, marked by a massive globe and structures inspired by the masts of traditional Phinisi ships. 3. Stroll Along Losari Beach: A bustling waterfront promenade where you can see the "Floating Mosque" and watch the sun set over the Makassar Strait. 4. Taste the Local Pisang Epe: Indulge in the city’s famous street food. Charcoal-grilled bananas pressed and topped with chocolate, cheese, and condensed milk. 5. Dine at Konro Karebosi: Feast on legendary grilled beef ribs (Konro Bakar) served in a rich, savoury peanut sauce. Direct Flights: You can easily find direct flights from major cities like Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bali (Denpasar), and Surabaya. GETTING TO THE CITY CENTRE: Airport Transfer: From the airport, it is approximately a 30 to 45-minute drive to the Losari Beach and CPI area, depending on traffic. Transport Options: You can use official airport taxis, ride-hailing apps (like Grab or Gojek), or the dedicated airport bus service. GETTING TO THE 99 DOMES MOSQUE & CPI: Location: The mosque and the Centre Point of Indonesia are located on reclaimed land directly across from the Losari Beach promenade. On Foot: If you are staying near Losari Beach, you can enjoy a scenic walk across the bridge to reach the mosque.
