The journey begins in Chilas, a strategic transportation hub connecting Pakistan and China as part of the ancient Silk Road. After viewing the ancient petroglyphs filled with Buddhist devotion remaining here, we head to Babusar Pass on the Karakoram Highway (KKH), which is open for only six months a year (April to September). We admire the beautiful scenery that unfolds for this limited time at this famous resort for locals. Now, the trekking to Perry Meadow begins in earnest. To meet the fairies, we must cross the "Road of Hell." This road, which cannot be traversed even by a regular jeep, must be ascended in a vehicle driven by a local guide. The narrow and rugged unpaved road is the ultimate challenge when it comes to rough terrain. After traveling by vehicle for an hour, oscillating between heaven and hell, the rest of the journey must be climbed on foot. At the end of this arduous path, where one walks while suffering from altitude sickness, one finally encounters Fairy Meadows—a meadow straight out of a fairy tale. Blue pine forests and meadows are nestled in the embrace of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's ninth highest peak and a majestic snow-capped mountain. Amidst this surreal landscape, one spends a time in paradise. The next day, embarking on another once-in-a-lifetime trek at Fairy Meadows, one ascends to Beyal Camp on Nanga Parbat.
