ADCET Webinar: What Universal Design for Learning Looks Like
ADCET was excited to welcome back Dr Thomas Tobin for this webinar. You’ve seen the charts, diagrams, principles, and checkpoints of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework (CAST, 2018) that helps us to lower access barriers for our learners (and or us). But what does UDL actually look like in practice? This interactive webinar session, where actual classroom materials from colleagues in mathematics, business, chemistry, and carpentry, were used in order to teach micro-lessons in the usual way and then in a more universally-designed fashion. Thomas discussed and demonstrated specific techniques that can be adopted quickly and easily to help lower access barriers. (April 2024)
