JAGUARUNA SC - O Que Descobrimos Nessa Cidade do Litoral Catarinense

Jaguaruna was one of those cities that truly surprised us along our route through the southern coast of Santa Catarina. A place where nature reigns supreme, life unfolds at a different pace, and each stretch of the road offers a different landscape. Our arrival in Jaguaruna began in the previous video, departing from Tubarão on a special night: Christmas Eve aboard the Maria Fumaça, the traditional tourist train that connects Tubarão to Jaguaruna. A unique experience that set the tone for what was to come. The next day, we returned by car to continue exploring the city at our leisure. Jaguaruna is approximately 180 km from Florianópolis, with an average travel time of about 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the conditions of the BR-101 highway. A city that, despite being relatively close to the capital, still preserves a simple lifestyle and is very connected to nature. We began our itinerary in Barra do Camacho, one of the city's best-known areas. Drone footage reveals the immense stretch of sand, the open sea, and the real estate growth of the region, which is increasingly attracting those seeking tranquility without sacrificing space and contact with the coast. We follow the dirt roads, passing by the lagoon and landscapes that clearly show the rural and beach essence of Jaguaruna. During the video, we also talk about Pará da Jagua, known as Arroio Corrente, the city's main meeting point and home to the famous "chuveirão" (shower), frequented by residents and visitors on the hottest days. Another highlight is Laje da Jagua, nationally recognized as part of the Big Surf route. It's there that some of the biggest waves in Brazil break, putting Jaguaruna on the map for big wave surfers and showcasing a wilder and more powerful side of the Santa Catarina coast. We then head to Morro do Careca, in the Campo Bom neighborhood, home to the largest dune in Santa Catarina. An impressive setting, with aerial images that show the grandeur of the place. Lika even ventured up and ran through the dunes, creating fun moments and incredible images. At the end of the day, we strolled through the city center, tried a delicious coffee-filled pastry at a bakery recommended by a channel subscriber—because tips from those who live in the city make all the difference—and concluded our experience by returning to the Jaguaruna train station. A spectacular sunset, captured in drone footage, closed the video just the way we like it: simple, beautiful, and full of meaning.
