Dig Those Crazy Dugways! A Day at the Dugway Geode Beds

Every year I make the trip back to Utah's famous Dugway Geode Beds, and once again this incredible location did not disappoint! During this adventure I collected a bucket full of Dugway geodes ranging from pea-sized specimens all the way up to baseball-sized treasures. I also brought home half a bucket of broken, dirt-filled geodes that had been overlooked by other rockhounds. Once cleaned and washed off, many of these discarded pieces revealed beautiful crystals and stunning interiors, proving that sometimes the best finds are the ones everyone else passes by. Join me as I search the desert for these amazing geological treasures, share tips for finding Dugway geodes, and uncover some of the hidden gems that make this one of my favorite rockhounding destinations in the United States. If you enjoy rockhounding, geology, fossils, minerals, crystals, lapidary, and outdoor adventures, be sure to subscribe for new videos every Tuesday!
