Hope you enjoy this video. I recently visited Tianjin! Before this trip, I mostly thought of Tianjin as a major port city. But after exploring it on foot, I was surprised by its elegant streets lined with beautiful European-style architecture. It completely changed my impression of the city. I spent most of my time wandering around the Five Great Avenues (Wudadao), where you can still see the charm of Tianjin's former concession era. Along the way, I visited cafés set inside beautifully restored historic mansions and stopped by a popular local gelato shop. For dinner, I enjoyed fresh seafood—a specialty of this port city—and ended the day admiring Tianjin's stunning night views along the Haihe River. Although the weather wasn't on my side and I had to cut my sightseeing short, I felt that with just half a day more, you could comfortably visit all of the city's major attractions. Tianjin is compact, easy to explore, and perfect for a short getaway. Located only about 30 minutes from Beijing by high-speed rail, Tianjin makes a great day trip or an overnight destination to add to your Beijing itinerary.
