For the first video of the year, I’d like to introduce a bakery I happened to discover at a bread festival called “Mianbao Marathon (面包马拉松)” in Shanghai. The bread was so good that before I knew it, I was visiting again and again. In this video, I mainly feature the Shanghai branch of 7 RIVERLIGHT, a popular bakery originally from Hangzhou, and share some of my favorite breads. You might not associate China with “bread,” but the fact that large bread festivals are held here shows how lively the bakery scene has become. The high quality of this bakery — not only in Shanghai but also in Hangzhou — truly reflects that trend.
