Florida Woman Caught Red Handed After Stealing Designer Purse

Palm Beach County, Florida – December 19, 2025 Police responded to a reported retail theft at a local shopping mall involving a luxury handbag store. Dispatch advised that a woman had allegedly exited the store carrying a handbag that had not been purchased. Officers located and detained the suspect in the parking lot shortly after arriving on scene. During the investigation, officers recovered the handbag in the woman’s possession. While conducting a search, officers also located a pair of scissors, and investigators observed that the store tag had been removed from the bag. The handbag was valued at approximately $7,500. According to police, the woman claimed a store security employee had given her the bag. She declined to answer additional questions during the investigation. She was taken into custody and charged with grand theft and resisting an officer without violence. Court records show she later received a short 3 day jail sentence, along with court fines and a required DNA sample.
