Abandoned 1927 Transcontinental Airway System beacons & arrows, plus ruins between Vegas and Barstow

I'd heard of the fascinating history of the Transcontinental Airway System, which operated roughly between 1924 and into the 1930's. I even knew of the slightly less than 200 remaining sites (of an estimated 1,500+ sites). What I didn't realize, until not so long ago, is that Interstate 15 followed the path of this particular flight corridor between Las Vegas, Nevada and Barstow, California. We make this trip a few times a year to visit family and friends, so, when I searched out these sites on Google Maps, I recognized an opportunity was at hand! Two of these sites are not reachable by vehicle, at least with my low-clearance 4-wheeler, and time didn't allow us to hike them. So, we hiked/ascended the one we could (near Vegas), and then put Louie to work circling the skies above, capturing some amazing video of the remaining two sites. In between sites, we ventured off I-15 in a few areas to explore more abandoned service stations and sites, which look to have been left to the fate of their harsh environments. I've always loved this stretch of I-15 because of the endless opportunities just off the freeway, so it was an amazing experience to get started on my I-15 corridor wish-list.
