Drive from Sandhead to Drummore

After joining the A716, the journey continues through the quiet communities of Sandhead and Drummore, where the landscape becomes increasingly remote. Open fields, dry-stone walls and coastal views create a relaxed and scenic drive through one of Scotland's least populated regions. Beyond Drummore, the road narrows and follows the contours of the coastline towards the southern tip of the peninsula. As the sea comes back into view, dramatic cliffs and sweeping panoramas across the North Channel signal our approach to Crammag Head, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in southwest Scotland and the gateway to the final miles leading to the Mull of Galloway.
