Hansestadt Uelzen- Uhlenköper- Camp

We had already included the small Hanseatic city on our travel itinerary last autumn. Because of the heather bloom, we changed our destination to Schneverdingen. At the turn of the year, we were looking for a quiet campsite, and Uelzen was back on our list. Getting there was straightforward, but the journey took a while after Braunschweig, as there's no motorway connection to Uelzen. The "Uhlenköper-Camp" campsite is located in the Westerweyhe district. The site offers everything you need for winter camping. We paid €21 per night plus a €2 connection fee for electricity. Electricity is charged according to consumption and cost €0.80 per kWh. Water and waste disposal are included in the price, as are the showers. Wi-Fi is available, but it doesn't cover the entire site. There are many trees, which make satellite TV reception very difficult on most pitches. In the summer, canoe trips are offered, and you can rent bicycles and e-bikes. There's also a car-sharing option. It is recommended to download the app to your mobile phone and complete the registration (ID and driver's license verification) in advance. Further information can be found on the camp's website. ``` Our links: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uelzen https://www.uelzen.de https://www.lueneburger-heide.de/serv... https://www.hansestadt-uelzen.de/home... http://www.kirch-westerweyhe.de https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahnhof... https://www.uhlenkoeper-camp.de https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebstorf https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kloster...
