Is a $100 Fine Dining Meal in Da Nang Worth It?
I spent a day working in a fine dining kitchen. Then they sat me down as a guest and served me the $100 tasting menu — so was it actually worth it? This is the finale of my Le Comptoir series. In episode 1, I found out why fine dining costs so much. In episode 2, I stepped into the kitchen as a commis to see if I'd survive a real service. Now I'm on the other side of the pass — eating the full tasting menu at one of Da Nang's best restaurants, judging every course against one impossible standard: for $100, every single dish has to be perfect. Having worked the line, I know what goes into these plates. The question is whether you can taste that from a guest's seat — and whether the whole experience is worth the price, or if you're better off with a $2 bowl of phở. #danang #danangfood #danangeats #vietnam #danangvietnam
