First Sighting of Joaquin’s Band This Year and Surprise Foals! May 17 2026

Joaquin’s band finally made their first appearance on camera this year and they did not come alone! Both Beauty and Tessa now have new foals at their sides. Beauty’s foal already stands out with striking face markings, while Tessa’s little one appears to have no visible markings at all. Foal coats can be deceiving though, and it will be interesting to see what color emerges after that soft baby coat sheds out later this year. One of the biggest surprises may be that Joaquin and Phoenix are still running the band together. I honestly expected one or the other to be pushed out by now, but the partnership somehow continues.
