Toshiba (Mod. Pillar) Scenic Elevator | Metro Center, Semarang, ID

Quite nice scenic elevator in a weird run down shopping center. This was originally made by Toshiba in the 1990s along with the escalators in this building, but around 2021 it was sadly modernized by Pillar. At least it runs fast for five floors so this is worth to film. The top floor has been renamed to 5, but not in the service elevator (you'll see that one later). All the escalators here are now derelict. You can see how quiet the place is, as it is now mainly dominated by offices despite being a shopping center. It is affiliated with Sango Group, which is why it is installed with Toshiba elevators and escalators as their other properties (which are mainly hotels) have Toshiba products. Metro Park View Hotel, which is a couple of meters away from here, is also a Sango property.
