AWESOME & FAMOUS Otis Traction High Rise Elevators @ Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, GA

(7-16-23) I have been waiting and waiting to come here for a long time to see these, and now I'm finally here and I am so excited! These elevators have been famous for a long time since 1993, which was obviously 30 years ago and as of today, these are known as the “over filmed” elevators on the internet. I've been watching videos about these elevators from many different users who have filmed here before since I was a kid and I felt like coming here for a long time and this has been a dream come true! These elevators are Otis Series M2 that modernized some 1985 Otis Elevonic 401s, however, they still kept the original cabs, but just modernized the fixtures and the equipment, but they still kept the original Series 1 lanterns on the guest floors and make them light up green for up and changed them to red for down. Unfortunately, the right glass elevator was still broken during my visit. And I honestly did not like the floor passing chime in the internal elevator, which is a bit wonderful because of a controller glitch that had something to do with the arrow beeping. These elevators are very nice and they're so AWESOME and INSANE for 47 floors! These are very fast and fun to ride all the time. Ever since my first day here, which was the day before this was filmed, I started foaming and took so many rides on the glass elevator off camera. The most intense part of riding these is the view. That view is very high! Once you start looking down from the 47th floor, you will be shocked and amazed how high you are and that high view might start giving you guys some goosebumps. Funny thing is when you watch the videos of the view of these elevators, you might think the atrium looks good for 47-stories, but wait til' you go here in person. That view and atrium built by John Portman will shock you in person. And btw, I heard rumors that the elevators are getting key-carded, as of now they are actually SMART Key-Carded :( , which I hoped these weren't tended to be key carded, although I didn't ask the desk about it. And I also stayed at this hotel during my visit to Atlanta, so stay tuned for a room tour that I'll publish eventually. I filmed these elevators around 6:30 AM after I woke up so that way these aren't busy while filming, although during my short second take, these were busy at that time due to check outs. So if I were you, try not to film these at check out time, because it is chaos inside the elevator. And if you plan on staying here, and you want to film the elevators, I would recommend filming them early in the morning if you're able to wake up early, so that way you can get as many non-stop rides as much as possible, just like what I did when I filmed these early in the morning to get many non-stop rides or you can also film them at night if not much crowd. JULY 2024 UPDATE: These elevators unfortunately are now SMART key-carded. :( However, the 42nd floor is still open on these elevators for any y’alls that want to take some rides on these high rise cars.
