Epic solo camping trip on Great Glen Canoe Trail in Gumotex inflatable kayak

GREAT GLEN CANOE TRAIL Kayak camping trip, end of April. The GGCT is the official paddling route leading through the Caledonian Canal from Fort William (or Corpach to be precise) to Inverness. Almost 100 km, 4 lochs, 29 locks (including three massive flights). The beginning and end of the trail are very conveniently serviced by the railway, I got there and back comfortably on the overnight trains with cabins. The trail itself is brilliantly organised, with convenient portage points and camping places at the locks. You can also rent a key that allows access to amenities for boaters. My craft of choice is Gumotex Rush 1, great, tough, versatile inflatable kayak.
