On September 26, 2025, the conference “Kherson Region on the Frontier: Steppe, River, Fortress” was held at the Mystetsky Arsenal. The event was the culmination and conclusion of the exhibition “Kherson. The Steppe Holds”. Together with the Frontier Institute, we gathered researchers, cultural figures, ecologists, historians, and journalists to talk about the Ukrainian South today: – how war changes cultural and natural heritage, – why memory becomes a form of justice, – what it means to live and rebuild on the frontier. The program includes three panel discussions and a keynote from director Roman Bondarchuk. The discussions will be published over the next few days. Stay tuned for updates!
