Golden Age Classical Records - Analogue Productions RCA Living Stereo

The Analogue Productions RCA Living Stereo Series has continued to surprise and delight me with their superb sound and marvelous presentation. These golden age classical records have never looked better, from the physically perfect 200gm pressings with labels that match the quality of those found on the original shaded dogs, to the stunning high gloss Stoughton tip on style jackets that make the iconic artwork pop in a way that will bring a smile to your face. The mastering is excellent, with Ryan K Smith doing most of the titles, and William Mackee doing the Decca/RCA titles. In a few cases, Bernie Grundman's original mastering for Classic Records was used, by repressing from the Classic metalwork. In the case of the new masterings, I found improvements over the originals and the Classics. They retain the wonderful tube sound that made the originals so special, and improve on the clarity, dynamic range and bass extension. In this video I pick five, and give an overview with some brief comparisons to other pressings I have. These records are all analogue cuts from the original master tapes.
