A divided Ukraine and Poland means Putin wins | Steven Moore

On Ukraine’s Constitution Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a bill to parliament proposing the creation of a national pantheon honoring outstanding Ukrainians. He added that no one will dictate to Ukraine which heroes it should honor. What does this mean in the context of the recent tensions between Poland and Ukraine? “In my view, all of this is nonsense,” Steven Moore, Founder of the Ukraine Freedom Project, said on World Talks. Moore argues that it is Vladimir Putin who benefits most from disputes of this kind. “This issue will continue to resurface in Polish–Ukrainian relations until everyone remembers that the most important challenge remains Russian aggression,” he said. Despite tensions, Poland remains one of Ukraine’s closest allies.
