An English Electric Feeling at Melton Mowbray (4th April 2016)

This trip is a short one! but it takes me to a location which I thought I only end up on if trains got diverted, but this trip took me to Melton Mowbray. I started at Rugeley Trent Valley and took the 0748 to London Euston, a London Midland service formed of two Class 350 EMUs forming an 8 coach train, I took this service to Nuneaton and changed onto the 0852 CrossCountry service worked by a Class 170 DMU to Melton Mowbray but this service carried on to Stansted Airport. At Melton Mowbray I filmed a few Class 170 DMUs on Birmingham New Street to Stansted Airport, an East Midlands Trains Class 222 Meridian working Corby to Derby via Melton Mowbray but following this working was a huge convoy! featuring three Class 50s, a Class 37 and the Prototype HST with three MK3 coaches, working Dareham to Leicester L.I.P after visiting an Gala also an hour later two Class 20s also passed through working Leicester L.I.P to Bounds Green to drag an Gresley N2 Locomotive and a LNER Teak carriage into Kings Cross the next day to unveil an statue of Sir Nigel Gresley, also a Class 66 Locomotive passing through with the Corby to Margam steel but I took a train at 1130 to Leicester which was an CrossCountry service from Stansted Airport back to Birmingham New Street and had 30 minutes at Leicester to take a quick look at Leicester L.I.P from the railway station and then took the 1218 CrossCountry service to Birmingham New Street which started from Leicester which took me to Nuneaton at 1240, then I took the 1255 London Midland service to Rugeley Trent Valley and arriving at 1325, then I changed onto the 1441 London Midland service take me back to Rugeley Town to end the journey, filmed 4th April 2016
