Walking to Rome on the Via Francigena 27: Vetralla to Sutri

Vetralla to Sutri (1 day; 24 km) Today we cross fields and forests, ford streams and encounter delightful settlements. There’s Capranica’s medieval quarter with its portals, many churches, townhouses and palace. Near our destination, an Etruscan necropolis with rock-cut tombs leads us to the narrow hill of tuff where the historic and picturesque town of Sutri is perched.
