Day 33: 🌧️ Rain couldn’t stop this unforgettable drive to Whittier, Alaska! 🚙🏔️

Some days on an Alaska road trip don’t go as planned—and that’s part of the adventure! 🌧️ Instead of hiking the famous Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, cold temperatures, heavy rain, and strong winds sent us on an unforgettable scenic drive from Seward to Whittier, Alaska. Join us as we travel the breathtaking Seward Highway and experience the incredible Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, North America’s longest highway tunnel, before arriving in the small waterfront town of Whittier. Although low clouds hid many of the towering mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls, we still caught enough incredible views to see why this is considered one of the most beautiful drives in Alaska. With the wind howling and rain pouring, we grabbed a quick lunch in Whittier before making the return trip to Seward. Not every travel day is sunny, but experiencing Alaska’s rugged weather is all part of the journey.
