This is why these three films were conceived as an introduction to better understand the diversity of these unique vocations. Produced at the request of the Carthusian Order, they were filmed at the Grande Chartreuse Monastery, the Charterhouses of Portes and Sera St. Bruno in Italy, and the Charterhouses of Reillanne and Nonenque in southern France. These monks and nuns speak candidly about their calling, their faith, their vocations, their struggles, and their eremitic lives with the Lord, giving these three films a unique and captivating character.
