Quantenmechanik 9: Pauli-Verbot und Periodensystem
This video is about the periodic table and Wolfgang Pauli's famous exclusion principle, also known as the Pauli principle or Pauli prohibition. In its simplest form, it states: Two electrons in the same orbital cannot have the same spin. That sounds completely harmless. But the Pauli prohibition is partly responsible for the properties of the elements. Without the Pauli prohibition, the universe would look completely different, and life would not have been able to develop—at least not in the form we are used to.
