This video is about the ability of electrons in atoms to absorb energy and emit it again in the form of photons. These are also referred to as "quantum leaps." I like this expression because it's striking and catchy. But it's a historical term that's incorrect for several reasons and should only be used as a casual metaphor. I explain the details in this video. And I also explain how these ice cubes are made to glow.
