Poor Man's Fish Soup Hello everyone 🤗🤗🤗 Today, the basics for a poor man's soup... The kind that was made with little but brought family 😊 Ingredients for the broth 1-2 fish of your choice (I used mullet 😁) 6-8 tomatoes 1 sprig of parsley 1-2 cloves of garlic A few basil leaves Extra virgin olive oil Salt Preparation Scale and gut the fish and cut it into steaks Chop the tomatoes Crush the garlic Method 👨🏻🍳 In a pan, I make a base of extra virgin olive oil and sauté the garlic cloves for a few seconds. Then I add the chopped tomatoes and a pinch of salt. I let it wilt for a few minutes, then add the whole parsley. Once the tomatoes are well wilted, I crush them a little with a fork. Now I arrange the fish steaks and sear them on both sides. I add water until it almost covers the steaks and season with salt. Now I add the basil and cover. I bring it to a boil, then count 4 to 8 minutes, depending on the type and size of the steaks. Once the fish is cooked, I drain it from the broth. I pass the resulting broth through a fine sieve to collect the peel, garlic, and any bones. Now I can cook some pasta or rice in the boiling broth.
