From Stress Fracture to 5k: Outdoor Season Opener

Feels like just yesterday I was swimming laps in that pool with no light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes, you have to put your head down and get to work. The injury was just that: an opportunity to get good at things I didn't enjoy. I had weaknesses. These weaknesses reared their heads in the fall, putting me out of the sport I loved. Then I was alone in a cold pool every day, doing my best to keep fitness up and stay mentally strong. I showed up every day and made a video on Instagram, read my Bible, and worked out in some way. I continually prayed to God for wisdom and patience during this time. There's proof of both of those. Today was great because I could test my limits on the track. I could finally lace up my shoes, toe the line, and take a crack at it. I ran a 5k and definitely surprised myself with the results. I don't even run the 5k. I don't like the 5k. But who cares? I'm learning to enjoy the difficult things in life. Now it's time to rest and get back after it. Intentions Over Everything. Use code "Brock" at checkout for 10% off BPN Supplements.
