ABOUT THIS EPISODE The ride from Mai Châu to Mộc Châu along the QL6 is a transition of sheer scale. We are moving from the low-lying rice paddies of Hòa Bình into the high-altitude heart of Sơn La. This is a region where the history of the Black Thai and Hmong people is written into the limestone peaks and the endless rows of tea. In this episode, we tackle the legendary Thung Khe Pass (White Stone Pass), navigate the swirling mists of the Mộc Châu Plateau, and uncover the agricultural secrets of the "Green Heart." The Thung Khe Pass is often shrouded in thick fog—if you lose visibility, keep your low beams on and watch for the white-painted stones at the edge of the cliff; they are your only guide. Fuel & Supplies: Mộc Châu is a major logistics hub. If your bike needs a specific part or you need to stock up on high-quality warm gear before the Ha Giang Loop, do it here. The "Green Tea" town has everything you need to prep your machine for the 6,500km strain. The Road of Trucks: The QL6 is a beautiful but high-traffic artery for heavy freight heading to the Laos border. Maintain a defensive riding position on the blind corners—the trucks take the "inside" of the curve and don't always leave room for solo riders.
