Welcome back to a quite moist portion of the daily meat! It is Thursday 25th of June 2026, and the heatwave is officially in full swing here in South Lincolnshire. With temperatures hitting 29°C today and climbing to a spicy 33°C tomorrow, we are safely hiding out in the air-conditioned luxury of the temporary "Nissan Joosh" hire car. Because it's way too hot for Bruno and Maggie to be out, I'm taking a step back today to reflect on our recent travels, look at our garden plums and apricots, and talk about a massive memory that popped up on my phone. This exact time last year, the Meat Wagon was crossing over to Europe for an intense hot lap around the dangerous Nürburgring in Germany! We talk about that 42°C camper van reality check and why I'll never attempt that crazy track again. Back in the present day, we head out to our sneaky 5G tower to push yesterday's breakdown debrief live, take a cruise down the congested A17, and check out the bakery section at Lidl in Spalding for a quick stone-baked mozzarella pizza and a blueberry muffin. We are wrapping up the day with a gentle evening stroll up the garden with Bruno, a massive bottle of imported Spaten Münchner Hell, and getting the lawnmower out to tackle the long grass before the peak heat hits.
