Mrs. Meat has confiscated the Audi TT for work after being severely unimpressed with yesterday's double bockwurst penetration leaving crispy onions all over her center console... so I've got the keys to the Suzuki Vitara. Before we head out, I tackle a tactical gear setup: loading the 12v camping fridge into the boot. After an initial starter-battery scare gives us an F1 error code, I drop in the R600 power station to keep our lunch perfectly chilled without risking a flat battery. Then it's out onto the A17 in air-conditioned luxury, where I share two massive RAC updates regarding the stranded Meat Wagon and a long-awaited £20 food voucher! With the afternoon heat getting a bit too spicy for Bruno, I pull into Cinder Ash Park for a solo steering-wheel tray picnic featuring leftover hot dog rolls, rainbow salad, and a massive layer of smoked German ham—accompanied by a brutal update on Germany getting knocked out of the football last night. Afterward, we head back to the homestead, load up Bruno, and take the Vitara down a treacherous, gravely lane by the River Nene for a proper 4x4 off-road run and a muggy walk by the "Brazilian-style" cleared bushes. Seeing how smoothly this little 4x4 handles the bumps has got me seriously considering a 5-door diesel Vitara for future micro-camper conversions to the Dolomites!
