Gel Printing - Weeds and Vines
Summer is the time for me to print botanicals while they are available. Join me as I use the gel plate to print the weed called Bindweed (correction - see below). It has shapes that I particularly enjoy using in my mixed media collages. In this video I roll up the plate using Golden Open acrylics and print three batches of this weed. Each roll up gives me 3 negative and 2 positive prints on Spectra Artist Tissue! To see how I use this type of print, visit my channel or click on the playlist at the end of the video. Correction - my husband told me this was Creeping Charlie and I liked the sound of that. I don't know one plant for another! Turns out he was wrong and this is actual a type of Bindweed. We actually have Creeping Charlie in the backyard and I have printed it in the past. Prefer this one though.
