Transform Your Botanical Gel Prints into Stunning Stencils: A Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to my tutorial, "Transform Your Botanical Gel Prints into Stunning Stencils: A Step-by-Step Guide." If you love creating high contrast botanical gel prints and want to take your art to the next level, this video is for you! In this guide, I'll show you how to turn your beautiful prints into versatile stencils that you can use for various creative projects. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting, you'll find this process both fun and rewarding. So, grab your supplies and let's dive into the world of stencil creation! In this video I will be using a high contrast print I created on my gel plate. To see how I create these prints, check out this video    • Gel Printing - Weeds and Vines   I will be using Photoshop Elements to modify the print into a form that I can use with a Cricut cutting machine. You could also use the free photo editing programs, Photopea or Gimp. These are similar enough in layout to what I am using so that the instructions should make sense to you. Once I have the image ready, I will be using Cricut Design Space to get it ready for cutting. I use Dura-lar for my stencils. It is available at art supply stores and through Amazon. It is easy to cut but tough and will last forever. Another material that works well is Yupo, a synthetic paper available at art supply stores or online.
