Batumi Nights arrives inspired by Georgian Independence Day, as we step into the city after dark to capture how Batumi celebrates history, light, and life under the night sky. After a beautiful balcony sunset, the episode begins in front of the brilliantly lit Sheraton Batumi Hotel — a landmark that feels like one of the city’s great night-time anchors. From there, we move past one of my favourite statues, Woman on Bike, and into the safe, open atmosphere of the seafront park, where Batumi starts to glow properly. The night keeps building as we reach the Dancing Fountains, first enjoying the show from the ground, and then from above with beautiful drone footage that lets the whole scene breathe. From there, the lights keep pulling us forward — past the stunningly lit Batumi Tower, onward to the Alphabet Tower, and through the Independence Day atmosphere, with local stalls, a festive stage, and the city moving with that special holiday energy. Then comes one of Batumi’s great night-time moments: Ali and Nino, beautifully lit beneath the dark sky, sharing yet another meeting of love under the lights. And from there, the next reward rises into view — the huge flashing Ferris wheel. We take an uninterrupted ride above the city, and Batumi sparkles beneath us as though the lights have been switched on just for this moment. But the night is not done. We return to some of our favourite spots to see how they transform after dark, including Batumi Piazza and Europe Square, where the streets glow and shimmer in a completely different way. Then we round off Batumi Nights by heading to the Courtyard by Marriott area for the light show, taking one final flight over this beautifully illuminated city. If nature rules the day, then the lights win the night. This is a visually rich episode shaped by celebration, atmosphere, and the growing feeling that Batumi becomes a different city after sunset.
