Severn Valley Railway - 2017 Spring Steam Gala - 18th & 19th March

The third weekend of March saw the Severn Valley Railway hold their annual Spring Steam Gala. As usual, this event would feature a large roster of locomotives working to an extensive timetable of passenger and goods trains. Star attractions at the gala would be 34081 '92 Squadron', who returned to service earlier this year after overhaul, looking stunning in her British Railways Malachite Green livery; 41312, making her first appearance on the Valley in over 16 years; and SVR resident, 7714, making her first gala appearance since returning to traffic after overhaul at the tail end of last year. Particular highlights for me this year were 1450 on the two Great Western 'toplight' coaches, 41312 on load 7 with the LMS stock, and 34053 on load 10 up Eardington Bank!
