Casting the Goonies Dubloon in Bronze
Watch as we turn a 3d printed pattern into a solid bronze coin. I start with making the mold in greensand, then we measure and melt the copper and aluminum to make bronze. Next we cast the dubloon, and finally finish with grinding, sanding and polish. What started as old sprues and crusty wire is transformed in the fire into a relic worthy of a treasure chest.
