LONGVIEW HUT: All you need to know! Huts of New Zealand

Longview Hut is one of the best huts the Ruahine Ranges has to offer. After a relatively easy 2 hour walk up the exposed spur from the Kashmir road end you'll make it to the hut and be greeted by amazing long views over Hawke's Bay. The area is notorious for unpredictable weather and extreme winds, so check the forecast before you go and be prepared. The 12 bunk hut has all the amenities you could want and doesn't require a booking during peak season. Its a great gateway hut to the rest of the Ruahine Ranges.
