Those affected often say: High sensitivity is both a blessing and a curse. There's definitely some truth to that! For decades, I thought I was somehow wrong. I feel too much, I think too much, I am too much. My social energy reserves are quickly depleted, and quiet solitude is what recharges them. Many people in a confined space? Exhausting! Loud noises? Hard to bear. But there are also the beautiful aspects of high sensitivity: deep feelings, boundless joy, incredible empathy. Accepting high sensitivity is the first important step toward coping better with these things. Highly sensitive people (HSPs) struggle not only with themselves but also with the lack of understanding from those around them. What are your experiences with high sensitivity?
