After several miscarriages, Laura learned that she was going through menopause and no longer produced her own eggs. But the couple didn't give up! They decided to undergo a bold treatment that is prohibited in Germany. If a woman goes through menopause and no longer produces her own eggs, there is no longer any medical help available in Germany. The situation is different abroad. This procedure involves removing eggs from an anonymous, young donor. These are fertilized with sperm to later implant them into the woman who wishes to become a mother.
