Fixed Matchbox's Craziest Muscle Car - MOPAR GREEN MAGIC
Today we're rebuilding a vintage Matchbox Superfast Big Banger and turning it into the muscle car it always deserved to be. This classic Matchbox casting arrived with layers of old paint, a damaged engine setup, and plenty of signs that it had been customized more than once over the years. Rather than perform a factory-style restoration, I decided to go full custom and build a bright Mopar-inspired street machine. The project started with stripping the body, repairing the hood, and completely redesigning the oversized engine opening. Using epoxy putty, body filler, sanding, and plenty of trial and error, a new blower was fitted and blended into the bodywork to create a cleaner, more realistic appearance. Once the bodywork was complete, I mixed up a custom bright Mopar green paint inspired by classic high-impact muscle car colors. The body was then finished with a custom Charger-style tail stripe, lowered suspension, polished glass, detailed trim work, and a completely revised stance. One of the biggest challenges was reshaping the hood around the new blower while keeping everything looking like it belonged there from the factory. After countless test fits, sanding sessions, and adjustments, the final result came together exactly as planned. The finished Big Banger features custom bodywork, a lowered stance, bright Mopar paint, a custom blower setup, Charger-inspired graphics, and enough attitude to make it look right at home on a 1970s drag strip. 0:13 – Restoring a Matchbox Superfast Big Banger 1:59 – Planning a Custom Mopar Charger Build 4:18 – Cutting the Hood for a New Blower 6:53 – Sculpting a Custom Hood With Epoxy 10:19 – Shaping the Engine Bay and Final Bodywork 15:17 – Mixing a Bright Mopar Green Paint 17:03 – Applying the Classic Charger Tail Stripe 22:22 – Final Big Banger Mopar Reveal FOLLOW THE ADVENTURES 🎥 Northern Gold (Prospecting Channel) YouTube: @NGProspecting 📍 Northern Gold Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 🚗 Diecast Resurrection Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... #hotwheels #hotwheelscustoms #diecast #diecastcars #customdiecast
