Restoring a Vintage Redline Hot Wheels Lola GT70

Today we’re finally diving back into a proper Redline Hot Wheels restoration 😄 This poor old Lola GT70 showed up covered in scratches, weird purple nail polish, dents, oxidation, and years of abuse… but underneath all that damage was still a beautiful old Redline waiting to come back to life. For this restoration we completely stripped the body, repaired dents and scratches, performed multiple homemade zinc replating sessions, polished the body back to a mirror finish, rebuilt the base, restored the glass, installed fresh blades, and brought the whole car back as close to factory-correct as possible. Honestly, this type of restoration is a completely different beast compared to regular customs. The painting part is actually the easy section. The real challenge is the hours of plating, sanding, polishing, and trying to erase decades of wear without destroying the soul of the car. By the end… this thing honestly looked like a little jewel again. 0:04 – Returning to Classic Redline Restorations 0:29 – Saving a Keyed-Up Purple Nail Polish Disaster 😄 1:46 – Stripping the Body for Zinc Replating 5:48 – Setting Up the Homemade Zinc Plater 6:51 – The First Fresh Zinc Coat Appears 9:34 – Hours of Sanding, Plating & Polishing 12:01 – Bringing the Body Back to Mirror Finish 17:25 – Final Restored Lola GT70 Reveal FOLLOW THE ADVENTURES 🎥 Northern Gold (Prospecting Channel) YouTube: @NGProspecting 📍 Northern Gold Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 🚗 Diecast Resurrection Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... #hotwheels #hotwheelscustoms #diecast #diecastcars #customdiecast
