We tracked the current schedule and operations to see how they work. Originally, the train would couple at Kanazawa-Bunko and head to Shinagawa, then couple with an express train on the return trip to Kanagawa-Shinmachi. From Kanagawa-Shinmachi, it would become a local train starting from that station. However, as explained recently, there are now 4-car trains that operate on a different schedule. A new 4-car local train has been introduced for the southbound line. This 4-car local train has an impact on other trains. A rare sight can be seen at Kanagawa-Shinmachi: the detached 4 cars transform into a local train. However, we found a 4-car train that cannot be coupled in this way on the current schedule.
