Title: Too Hot to Be True: Exploring the World of Autoinflammatory Diseases Speaker: Dr. Hannah Elfassy, Immunologist-Allergist MUHC Hybrid Medical Grand Rounds Tuesday, 12/2/2025 at 12h00-13h00 Educational objectives • Define the clinical manifestations of the most common autoinflammatory syndromes. • Use genetic testing in the diagnosis of autoinflammatory syndromes. • Propose targeted treatments for the major autoinflammatory syndromes Biosketch of Dr. Hannah Elfassy: Dr. Hannah Laure Elfassy is an adult immunologist and allergist at Sacré Coeur Hospital in Montreal, where she has headed the department since its creation in 2019. She also works as a clinician and teacher at the Children's Hospital of Montreal. She completed her medical training at the University of Montreal and did a one-year fellowship in primary and secondary immunodeficiency in adults and children within the McGill network. Dr. Elfassy has a particular interest in cases of dysimmunity and is the co-founder of a clinic specializing in autoinflammatory diseases.
