Jesus teaching from Gospel of Mark Week 1

“Welcome everyone to Week 1 of our Gospel of Mark teaching and training series, Following Jesus Through the Gospel of Mark. Over the next several weeks, we are going to study one of the most powerful books in the Bible: The Gospel according to Mark. This series is not only about gaining Bible knowledge. It is also about learning how to communicate the message of Jesus clearly. In watching the video this gives the Gospel a sense of urgency. Mark wants readers to understand that Jesus came with a mission, and that mission demands a response. In this series, we will focus on six teaching themes of Jesus: 1. Love - Jesus shows compassion and teaches us to love God and others. 2. Faith - Jesus calls people to trust Him in fear, sickness, storms, and impossible situations. 3. Kingdom of God - Jesus announces that God’s rule has come near and calls people to repent and believe. 4. Discipleship - Jesus calls people to follow Him fully. 5. Servanthood - Jesus teaches that true greatness comes through humility and service. 6. Forgiveness - Jesus forgives sins and teaches His followers to forgive others. Today we will introduce these ideas, but our main, focus is answering this question: Who is Jesus in the Gospel of Mark?”
