Kayak Fishing Bay Isles, Bishop’s Point & Buttonwood Harbor | Snook and Keeper Sheepshead

I spent the day kayak fishing the Bay Isles channel, Bishop’s Point, and Buttonwood Harbor, working docks, channel edges, and protected inshore water. The snook were stacked under several docks, and I was able to catch a number of them by placing baits tight to the structure. Most of the sheepshead were small, but the day finished with a better fish during one of my last casts. Using live shrimp under a popping cork, I landed a keeper sheepshead on one of the last casts of the day. It was a good reminder that the last few casts can still change the entire trip.
