Redfish Sight Fishing Paradise | Mosquito Lagoon, Florida

Since I moved to Florida, I've read about the famous Mosquito Lagoon, home to a resident population of big redfish that can be sight fished to over a lush meadow of seagrass. And ever since I got my poling skiff, I've been waiting for the opportunity to put it to the test there. It did not disappoint, as I consistently found tailing redfish, several of which I was able to sneak up to and coerce a bite. Not only were the redfish abundant and in a biting mood, but they were radiantly orange and bronze--some of most visually striking specimens I've encountered.
