Urban Fishing in Tampa Bay - "On The Hunt For Snook"

March 27, 2026: Don't miss the ending on this one folks! My day of fishing started in the urban setting of Downtown Tampa. My goal for the day was to catch a "Snook" no matter what size. My mission was set and I just needed to execute it. After several hours of fishing the urban setting with no luck, I made a decision to locate a new spot. I moved South to fish mangrove areas in search of Redfish. During my travels I found a small jungle-like tributary that I had never fished before, so I ventured on in. Pay close attention to the water/wind conditions prior to me entering and exiting for the day. I did catch my Snook(s) while back in the jungle, but came out faced with howling Easterly winds with a major tide change. Let's just say that I was faced with some brutal conditions that tested me and my LT25 Custom Gheenoe. By the time I reached the dock, I was drenched from head to toe along with all my gear. There were times I was standing in water in boat wondering if I was going to make it back safely! Grab the kids and popcorn and sit back and join the adventure with me! I hope you enjoy the video!
