Who Was Shoghi Effendi?

Talk given by Mrs. Sharon O'Toole & Mr. Earl Redman on January 15, 2022. Shoghi Effendi plays a unique and significant role in the Baha’i Faith, as the leader of the Bahá'í community for 36 years before the election of the Universal House of Justice. He uniquely blended knowledge and facility in both Eastern and Western culture, as reflected in his standard-bearing translation of the Bahá'í Writings into English and his building of the Bahá'í administrative system around the world. In this talk, Mrs. O’Toole and Mr. Redman introduce the person and work of Shoghi Effendi. Sharon has worked on peace-making projects, particularly in Ireland, and Earl is an author of several books on ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and Shoghi Effendi.
