Shoghi Effendi's Role in the Creation of the Modern Bahá'í Faith

Talk given by Mr. Jack McLean on August 20, 2022. Jack McLean is a Canadian independent Baha'i scholar, essayist and poet born in Toronto in 1945. He holds an M.A. in the History of Religions from the University of Ottawa and a certificate from the Sorbonne in French literature and History. He became a Baha'i in 1962 at 16 years of age. His mother Joyce, who became a Baha'i in 1952, introduced the Baha'i Faith to her husband Allan and her children Mary Lou, Stephen and Jack. Jack's books have been published at George Ronald Publisher, One Voice Press, Kalimat Press and the Baha'i Publishing Trust of India. He has won two awards from the Association for Baha'i Studies (North America): one for creative writing and another for distinguished scholarship in the book category.
