How Much It Costs to Build Off-Grid Near Joshua Tree (What the County Told Me)
In this episode of the Ultra Nomadic Life desert build series, I start digging into what it actually takes to build off-grid on my property near Joshua Tree. After talking with the San Bernardino County building department, I’m sharing what I’ve learned so far about permits, restrictions, and what you’re actually allowed to build out here in the desert. I also go through some of the real costs I’ve been able to find so far — including things like soil tests, septic systems, wells, and the early steps required before construction can even begin. This series is documenting the entire process of turning raw desert land into an off-grid home base — from permits and planning to building and living out here. If you're interested in off-grid living, desert land, or building your own place near Joshua Tree, follow along. I’ll be sharing everything I learn along the way. Subscribe if you want to follow the journey. New episodes coming as the project progresses. #OffGridLiving #JoshuaTree #DesertHomestead #OffGridBuild #UltraNomadicLife
